Description
Madeleine is the boot for the weeks when it turns cold before it turns pretty. A relaxed mid-calf boot in soft faux leather that falls into an easy slouch at the ankle, with a ribbed knit cuff at the top and a low heel you can walk in all day.
The shaft is cut with room to spare, so it folds rather than stands stiff, and the knit cuff closes the gap where the cold gets in. A full-length zip on the inside makes them easy on and off; the zip and straps on the outside are there for the look. A rubber sole with a short block heel keeps you steady on wet leaves and salted sidewalks. Four colours: cognac, black, brick red and stone grey.

WHERE TO WEAR:
With jeans tucked in and a long cardigan on the first cold morning. Over leggings with an oversized coat for the school run and the grocery run. With a midi skirt and wool tights once the leaves are down and the snow is not here yet.
Size & Fit
Women's US sizes 4.5 to 10, including half sizes. They fit true to size.
The slouch shaft is roomy around the calf and the knit cuff stretches, so they suit most calf widths. If you are between sizes, take the larger half size; a thicker sock fills the gap.
The heel is low and broad, so they walk like a flat.
Care: wipe the faux leather with a damp cloth and let them air dry, away from direct heat. Brush the knit cuff gently; do not machine wash.
